Build 443: What to Check Before Your Next Dress
The October 14 update changes several familiar actions. Before continuing an existing dress, check the controls, trim fit and requirement indicators; an older screenshot may no longer match your build.[1]
- Camera and accessibility: current inputs and lower-click options.
- Trim editing: selection, duplication and old-dress checks.
- Cutting room: collecting pieces versus discarding fabric.
- Commission indicators: compare the updated colour and fabric checks.
- Sketchbook and selling: separate deletion, sale and gifting.
- Something still fails: record a current-build reproduction.
New materials and skirt variants unlock through campaign progression, including retroactively when you have passed their unlock point. If an expected item is absent, record your story progress and installed build before assuming you need a new save. The announcement does not supply a complete rank-by-rank catalogue.[1]
Full controller support and complete control rebinding are still described as priorities. A patch announcement is not proof that every crash, missing save or stuck commission has been fixed.[1]

Bug-Report Communication: An Update, Not a New Patch
The team’s “Everything, Everywhere, All At Once” post describes the surge of players and reports after launch, and work to improve communication. It does not announce a new build, list additional fixes or give a completion date.
For a specific symptom, compare the Build 410 changes and Build 403 fixes below with your installed game. If it remains, use the bug-report checklist; do not treat the communication post as confirmation that a save or commission problem is fixed.
The official Steam announcement list ↗ was checked October 15. Build 443, dated October 14, is now the newest numbered patch note visible; the October 1 post below remains historical communication.

Build 410: Find Panels, Change Thread, and Continue the Tutorial
- Thread colour: click a spool in the sewing scene.
- Panel location hints: hover over an inventory panel to see where it belongs on the mannequin.
- Sketchbook component names now make their clickable behaviour clearer.
- Cutting-room scrolling: the wheel no longer rotates panels while the pointer is over inventory.
- Tutorial softlock: the patch addresses opening the sketchbook before the bell.
These are developer-reported changes in the official Build 410 notes ↗. Use the linked task checks if your current build behaves differently; no universal commission or lace-counting fix is stated.
September 2026 · Steam full-game update
Build 403: first post-launch patch
The developer's first Steam patch notes say Build 403 fixes the cursor sometimes disappearing during the cutting-room tutorial, lace items missing their trim tag, accepted failed commissions not paying, a single keyhole bodice issue, and shop buttons that did not respond at extremely wide aspect ratios. The store tutorial now has a Back button. To call the next customer, ring the bell.
These are developer-reported changes, not independently tested fixes. If the same symptom remains after Steam installs the update, include your build and the exact step where it happens in a bug report. The patch does not claim to fix every lace-length or commission requirement problem.
For the affected tasks, see our troubleshooting steps, lace guide, and customer guide. Read the official Steam announcement ↗.
September 2026 · Full-release status
Launch date, price, and full-game scope announced
The official Steam store and “Out Now” announcement confirm the September 21 release. The US base price is $14.99; the 10% introductory discount ran through September 28 and has ended, while regional prices vary. Pre-release announcements described approximately 35 hours of story commissions, more than 150 dress pieces, 450 fabrics, and 350 accessories. Treat these as full-release facts, not Prototype 0.5.5 patch notes.
