Dressmaker is built from the ground up to be a relaxing, independent cozy simulation game. The core gameplay loop focuses on your personal creative journey: reviewing customer notebook requests, carefully cutting fabrics, and mastering the sewing machine at your own pace.

The released game keeps those activities in a solo campaign. Steam's feature list currently labels Dressmaker as single-player; it does not list online co-op, LAN co-op, or shared/split-screen co-op.

Can You Play Dressmaker Offline?

The itch.io Prototype 0.5.5 is a desktop download, and the Steam store does not list an always-online or multiplayer requirement for the released game. Steam itself may still need a prior sign-in, installation, updates, or Offline Mode setup. Use the official download guide for the correct build and platform.

Verification note

The official listings confirm the current single-player feature set. They do not promise that every platform or store-client function works without an initial connection.

Will Co-op Be Added in the Future?

The developer's launch post says an online challenge mode is planned for a later update. That is not the same as confirmed co-op, competitive multiplayer, or shared-screen play, and no release date was announced. Until the feature ships and its rules are published, treat Dressmaker as a single-player game.
